Cayman Islands: Vacancy For Commanding Officer

A vacancy exists in the Cayman Islands Regiment (CIR) for a Commanding Officer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the command, control and administration of the Regiment, subject to the Governor’s directions. They will be required to set and guide the strategic direction and priorities of the CIR, develop standing orders and other guidelines for CIR, establish and maintain the ethos of the organisation, maintain military discipline and determine suitable training for full-time staff and reservists. They must also ensure that the CIR is effectively resourced, trained and professional in order to achieve the broad outcomes of the Cayman Islands Government (CIG) and the strategic objectives of CIR.
