Strategic Services & International Affairs

What we do

The Strategic Services and International Affairs directorate was established in 2023 with a primary focus on streamlining the implementation of RSS’ strategic programming and advancing comprehensive resource mobilisation efforts in support of same. The Directorate is responsible for providing expertise in the review, development and coordination of strategies, plans and programmes in support of RSS Headquarters’ effectiveness and efficiency in satisfying the needs of its Member States, supervises work in the field of project identification, formulation and evaluation at RSS; monitoring and evaluating RSS’ projects; planning and managing programmes and projects and liaising with consultants, International Lending Agencies and Government agencies.

The directorate is newly minted with the responsibility of overseeing and coordinating policy research and analysis as it relates to crime and security issues within RSS and works closely with the Regional Crime Observatory in identifying and evaluating policy issues of significance to RSS Member States as it relates to crime and security issues. It also oversees the management of a variety of information technology infrastructure services, including the architecture, implementation, administration and operations for voice, network, server administration and/or storage.
