Common Policing Standards
RSS HQ commenced work on the Common Policing Standards in 2019. The project enhances frontline policing by creating the RSS standard for required actions and establishing a system for ensuring compliance.
RSS HQ has already received support from the Durham Constabulary in an effort to establish CPS for the RSS Member Police Forces. Thus far, workshops and training in Safeguarding and Risk Management; two key identified areas within the CPS, were delivered in collaboration with Durham Constabulary. A comprehensive list of areas that will be covered by the CPS will be published and disseminated to the MS in due course.
